Utility enterprise “Zaporizhzhya International Airport” shared preliminary outcomes of its activity in 2017
New Year and Christmas celebrations are over and UE “Zaporizhzhya International Airport” can share its 2017 results.
In 2017 the number of passengers at Zaporizhzhya International Airport increased to 348 438 persons. Compared to 2016, passenger traffic grew by almost 27%. The geography of flights is also expending. Thus, there had been opened new connections to Israel (Tel-Aviv), Bulgaria (Burgas), Montenegro (Tivat), Georgia (Batumi), and Tunisia (Monastir).
Last year a partial renovation of the runway was done, the enterprise continues building a perimeter fence and installing of video-surveillance systems. Moreover, the construction of a new terminal building started. In 2018 the airport plans to increase the volume of passenger traffic and continue implementation of new technologies into its operations.
